· 文法跟讀單元 In-Tense

Welcome to 15mins.today the home of English Shadowing. I’m your host, Gavin and this is In-Tense Episode 27.

Hi guys, in this episode we will be looking at something quite simple. It is two words “take and bring.” Now, first off, I have heard many North Americans using bring, “bring here, bring there.” I myself speak more British English and I was taught “bring here, take there.” So it all depends on where you are, your location. If you are here and you are taking something somewhere else you are taking it. If you are there and you are bringing this thing here, you bring it here, take it there.

So let's do an example, “I will take my pen to work on Monday, and on Monday I will bring the pen back home.” What is my location? I'm at home.

Great, so as I said some North Americans I have heard they bring here, they bring everywhere, ”I bring it home, I bring it to work,” it doesn't matter. So as I said it's just a matter of taste let's do the questions.
