Well guys we are busy with adjectives, words that describes nouns and pronouns and in the previous episodes we've covered common adjectives, proper adjectives and compound adjectives. Today we're looking at the 4th one, and these are a special kind of adjective. They are articles, and that would be definite articles the and indefinite articles, a and an. 

We have covered those in episode 26, 30, 33, 34, 35 and I'm sure more than that. And so, we've actually covered them, so here is the key, articles are adjectives, that is all we need to say. So, if you want to, you can go look back in our backlog and I covered them extensively. Articles like, “It is the Earth.” And those are the three, the, a and an. Um, the especially I covered in detail, because it's very difficult to remember when to use the and when not to. We did a whole series in the 30s. I think it started with 33 onwards. I don't know how many I did, because in Taiwan people struggle with the definite article the so, let's just do a couple of examples. And all the definite and indefinite articles are adjectives, great!

Is the movie finished? Yes, the movie is finished.

Is the movie finished? No, the movie is not finished.

Was it a beautiful day? Yes, it was a beautiful day.

Was it a beautiful day? No, it was not a beautiful day.

Did you receive the email? Yes, I received the email.

Did you receive the email? No, I did not receive the email.

Did he give you an apple? Yes, he gave me an apple.

Did he give you an apple? No, he did not give me an apple.

Did John buy an iPhone? Yes, he bought an iPhone.

Did John buy an iPhone? No, he did not buy an iPhone.

Did you feed the dog? Yes, I fed the dog.

Did you feed the dog? No, I did not feed the dog.

Did Candace prepare the report? Yes, she prepared the report.

Did Candace prepare the report? No, she did not prepare the report.
