Welcome to 15mins.today the home of English Shadowing. I'm your host Gavin and this is In-Tense Episode 35.

Well guys, in this episode we are carrying on with our use of the definite article “the,” actually the non use, where we do not use “the.” So today's one we will be looking at is, languages. So when you talk about a language, we do not use “the” in front of a language as in, “I speak English.” or “You speak Chinese.” So, it's very simple, I don't think there's any exception that I can honestly think of. So, let's get started with our questions!

What languages can you speak? I can speak Chinese and English.

Can you read Japanese? Yes, I can read Japanese.
